Bet that played out differently in his head...

Looks like somebody won't be showing his face around "The Shore" anytime soon!

I read this rather awkward article the other day about Snookie's new boyfriend Jeff Miranda doing an interview with "Steppin' Out" magazine in which he proposed to the pint-sized party girl on the issue's cover. He even went as far as to say he can see the Snook-ster as the future mother of his children (Wowzers dude, have you ever watched the show!?). So finally the word gets to Snooks herself and apparently it didn't turn out like Mr. Miranda probably imagined. As any girl who was just proposed to on a magazine cover would do, Snookie took to Twitter to announce that she's "single and not getting married". Bummer Jeff! Sounds like you two could have had a very successful relationship with all those face-to-face communication skills...

But I mean let's be real. The name Jeff Miranda is WAY too normal for a girl who calls herself "Snookie".

Dancing With the Hasbeens

Well, another year is about to begin of the show I never thought was going to last. Tonight the Dancing With the Stars Season 11 (holy.) cast was revealed. While I was reading the supposed chosen ones, I couldn't help but think that the show is getting really good at casting celebrity hasbeens. Seriously. Michael Bolton!? Rick Fox!? Jennifer Grey!? Mrs. Brady!? (Are you tired of my "!?"'s yet!? Too bad, there's one more.) David Hasselhoff!? I just don't understand! Maybe my initial reaction to the show was right on for my age group because they sure are casting for the Early Bird Special folk. Don't get me wrong, there are a couple recent headliners in there. Jersey Shore got their plug in there with Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and now that The Hills are over, Audrina will be spending her free time dancing in a ballroom rather than a club. That just leaves the typical contestant who has a dancing background...cue Brandy. The athlete...cue Kurt Warner. Oh and don't forget the controversial "I don't like the fame" (think Kate Gosselin) contestant...cue Bristol Palin.

Looks like they covered all the bases again. Good work ABC. Unfortunately, I still won't watch.

What do you think? Which "stars" would make you watch the predictable DWTS?

Silly Paris

I was just telling someone how I was almost proud of Paris Hilton for laying low for the past couple of years. Well, that's over. It was a fun run but Paris is back at it, this time with a little somethin' somethin' in her purse in Vegas. So now she's been officially charged with Felony Drug Possession along with her new beau Cy Waits.

Look at the bright side P.Hil...this mug shot is a lot better than your last!

Primetime Emmy's 2010

Every year the Emmy's are packed with gorgeous dresses, well known people, and pounds of makeup. 2010 did not disappoint! The girls really stepped it up this year with several beautiful gowns that I really couldn't narrow it down to a top 3! Clare Danes in Armani Prive, January Jones in Versace, Keri Russell in Jean-Louis Scherrer, Tina Fey in Oscar de la Renta, and Kyra Sedgwick in Monique Lhullier all stole the show on the red carpet. Never to be outdone, the men of the evening looked quite dapper themselves. But let's be honest, as a girl I'm not really judging how a guy looks on his tuxedo. I mean, if Zac Efron or Liam Hemsworth showed up to the Emmy's in Batman and Robin suits I would still put them on the Best Dressed list.

Besides the fashion, there was another tiny aspect to the award show last night...the actual awards. Now, being an avid TV follower, the Emmy's usually turn into a competition that involve the nominees being read, pausing the DVR, taking a quick poll from the few brave souls watching with me of who's going to win, and then not-so-silently celebrating my winning pick. For me, it was all about Modern Family this year. If you have been living under a rock or are on some kind of hippie "No TV" kick, Modern Family is easily the best show on television at the moment. Yeah there's the nonstop drama of shows like Grey's Anatomy or Lost (RIP), but there is no comparison to this laugh-out-loud piece of heaven. Needless to say I was thrilled when MF won for Comedy Series, Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Eric Stonestreet/"Cam"), and Writing for a Comedy Series. My show did pretty dang good for its first season out!

There were a few other big winners of the night including Mad Men, Temple Grandin (which, I'm sorry, but Who!?), and Kyra Sedgwick (first win after 5 nominations!). The show was pretty funny with Jimmy Fallon hosting and you can't go wrong with all that George Clooney humor! However, apparently I am missing out on some dang good shows by not having HBO! Oh well, for now I'm happy with the hilariously awkward clan of Modern Family. Next year, Cougar Town anybody!?

Welcome to my new blog!

Hello friends! Welcome to my brand spanking new blog! I am so excited to have a place where I can finally blab about the celebrity world to people, other than my sister and mother, who actually care! I'll be posting about the latest news from Tinseltown with my always valued opinion thrown in the mix...what more could you ask for!? From new movies to new faces and everything in between, with TPAMP you'll never be the one spotting a magazine cover and shouting, "Tiger cheated!?". Sounds like a pretty good deal to me! By the way, I just realized that if I changed the first "People" in my blog name to an "R" word, the acronym could have been TRAMP. Semi-appropriate for the possible content of this blog if I do say so myself! Lookie there, that opinion's already starting up! Anyways, here's to the beginning of a wonderful relationship Internet World.

Be sure to check in with me later, Emmy talk coming up next!
